Something in my brain was triggered over the weekend and I was feeling this huge gust of inspiration with tips and tricks that seemed to sneak out between my earlobes to make me be a more proactive, effective, and productive entrepreneur. I have to take advantage of this feeling because sometimes I’ll have days of not feeling inspired, feeling lazy, feeling like it’s easier to just roller-skate along enjoying the ride, and NOT making things happen.
Inspirations over the weekend:
1) FIND FOCUS! Sometimes, I feel like I have so much going on that I either a) don’t take action on any of the projects because I feel so overwhelmed or b) take action on all of the items giving them each 20% instead of 100% just for the mere fact that I have TOO MUCH going on. However, this weekend I realized my focus! I want to focus on Do What You Love. Love What You do! I’ve moved this to the top of my priority list and am putting 100% into it. This was a huge burst of “ah hah!” for me that I wanted to share.
2) DELEGATE! As much as I want to have total control over everything I do within my businesses, I simply don’t have the brain capacity. I really thought that I wanted to reconcile my bank statements and when I sat down to do it, I just got frustrated and overwhelmed. So, today I hired a new book keeper to do that task. And while she was looking over all of the numbers and checking things off, I was able to be creative in the shop and was able to put my energy into the things that I enjoy.
3) CREATE SYSTEMS! I spent a majority of my day today creating systems for my clients to pay fees. Often times I’ve just created a system, didn’t save it, and then the next month, just recreated the same system because I didn’t want to take the time to do it right the first time. NO MORE! I took the 3 hours of time it took to build these and now I have them in place. I now need to get into the habit of using these systems on a regular basis. It’s one thing to create the system, but it’s another thing to consistently use them. We’ll see how that goes.
My mind is so inspired lately and I find that I can’t stop thinking about ways to become a better business person and to focus on what I truly want to be doing. When I have those days that I have no inspiration, I will remember this feeling and be okay with not feeling inspired and I won’t kick myself for not feeling inspired. In fact, this past weekend, I have enough inspiration to last me up to 2-3 weeks
I shall close down and get home to give the trick or treaters some candy.
