Hello World! What a crazy week of ups and downs it’s been…

Ups!! The planning of a spontaneous adventure to North Carolina with my boyfriend for 10 days! We’re leaving the day after my birthday in 1 week from today!! I’m so excited!!

DOWNS!! My computer crashed and it was sent to the computer doctors who will bring it back to life.

Well.. the mix of these two things all within the same week have me feeling a little anxious and I’m creating a FUN Raiser to raise funds for both of these monetary opposites!

I would like to offer you a place in my next “Do what you love. Love what you do. THE PREQUEL” workshop happening June 26th at my headquarters from 7-8pm. This 1 hour funshop will be all about finding and discovering what you are passionate about. How do you get involved in things that you think you love but you don’t know how to get involved with? What are some tips and tricks to discovering your passions? This 1 hour class will focus on getting down to the nitty gritty…. your heart!

Donations to my little FUN RAISER are greatly accepted and I will give back to you with all of my heart sharing my passion for passion. Any monetary donation will go directly to my adventure in North Carolina and my laptop being resurrected and are both part of me doing what I love and loving what I do.

Have a wipe board by your work / creative area so you can constantly remind yourself of what goals you want to accomplishment! Have short term, mid term, and long term goals, fun goals, SLJ goals (shitty little job goals), and quotes that inspire you! That’s my bulletin board in the background shaped like a dialogue box…

It’s so important to take a break from the day to day routine to have a little fun! Whether you take a 10 minute break to jump rope, a 1 minute break to jump in a gigantic rain puddle, or an hour break to color, taking these much needed breaks gets us a little closer to doing what we love. What are you going to do today to be a kid?

February 6th, I was interviewed by Kathy Bacon of Pay it Forward Radio. Take a listen to our hour long interview!

What a day! After an amazingly relaxing weekend, I jumped into Monday in the most relaxing, yet productive way I could do.

1) Took Olive for a walk with my new assistant and sat in the sunshine talking about how a day in the life at my headquarter go. (every day is different!)

2) Took her up to the Rooftop Oasis where Amy, my best friend and handler of operations for my businesses, met us and we had coffee and talked about expectations and how operations happen within our headquarters (always be you, learn as much as you can, create your experience to maximize what you want to learn about, etc.)

3) Then we came to my office and got to work! She had her first assignment, and my assignment to myself was to plan for the week, get my internet company squared away and renew my contracts with them, and answer emails.

I worked hard on just…. planning! It’s so important to take time to prepare and plan for what you have in the near future. I’m happy that I’m able to recognize that this is what my Monday is for.

It’s now 8:15pm, I’m ready to put on my jammies and call it a day. I’ve got Olive Dog by my side and I think I shall crawl into bed with my knitting and start season 2 of Dowton Abbey.

Holy Minolta! A lot can happen when you wake up early! Updated all my websites, finished a PR proposal, designed “Do what you love” screens for my model’s t-shirts for the Westword Whiteout Fashion Show at McNichols Civic Center Building . And now, a day full of meetings with the Denver Film Society, Goodwill fashion show, internship interview and jewelry designer meeting. Happy Tuesday! This is the day where I try to kick as much bootie as I can! Haaaaiii YAH!

I just asked myself if I’m doing what I love and am loving what I am doing, and it made my stop and think about what is it EXACTLY that I’m loving to do. I realized that it’s just being alive and living day to day with the understanding that every day is a new adventure. Whether that adventure includes working, being with your friends and family, being silly, being sad, being ecstatic.

At this exact moment in time, I’m ecstatic, sore from a good hike, refreshed from lots of sleep and I’m going to spend the day getting organized. I accept that this may be the only thing on my todo list and it’s worth the time I’ll put into it.

Then I get to hang out with the beautiful Camille Rose and make her a custom handbag and have band practice with B. Sue Music tonight.
